These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the website operated at rasiyat.com.bd and the internet services provided by Rasiyat Bangladesh ("Rasiyat Bangladesh", "we", "us"), a licensed Internet Service Provider registered in Bangladesh. By subscribing to our service, making a payment through this website, or using this website, you agree to these terms.
1. Definitions
- Service means the internet connectivity and related services we provide to you.
- Subscriber or you means the person or organisation in whose name the connection is registered.
- Equipment means any device we supply, including optical network units, routers, media converters and cabling.
- Billing cycle means the monthly period for which the subscription fee is charged.
2. Eligibility and account registration
To subscribe you must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate registration details, including your full name, a valid mobile number, and the installation address. We may require a copy of a national identity document as required by regulation. You are responsible for keeping your account details current and for all activity carried out over your connection.
3. Service description and speed
Packages are sold at a stated maximum speed and a stated contention ratio. Speeds quoted are the maximum achievable over the access line and are shared according to the published ratio. Actual throughput depends on your equipment, Wi-Fi conditions, the number of connected devices, the capacity of the remote server, and international bandwidth availability.
We provide the service on a best-effort basis for residential packages. Dedicated and corporate packages are provided at the committed rate stated in their service agreement.
4. Tariff, billing and payment
- All packages are charged at the tariff approved by the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission. The approved tariff is published on this website.
- Subscription fees are payable monthly in advance. Bills are generated at the start of each billing cycle.
- Payment may be made through our online payment page, at our office, or through the payment channels we announce.
- Government taxes, VAT and supplementary duty are charged where applicable.
- If payment is not received by the due date, the service may be suspended after due notice. A reconnection charge may apply to restore a suspended connection.
5. Installation and equipment
Installation is carried out by our engineers at a time agreed with you. Equipment supplied on a rental or deposit basis remains our property and must be returned in working condition on disconnection. You must not relocate, open, modify or resell our equipment. Loss of or damage to company equipment is chargeable at replacement cost.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to:
- Send unsolicited bulk email, or operate open relays or proxies used for abuse.
- Distribute malware, or attempt unauthorised access to any system or network.
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of others.
- Publish or transmit content that is unlawful under the laws of Bangladesh.
- Resell, redistribute or share the connection beyond the registered premises without our written consent.
- Interfere with the operation of the network or degrade service for other subscribers.
We may suspend or terminate a connection used in breach of this section, and are required to cooperate with lawful directions from regulatory and law enforcement authorities.
7. Service availability and maintenance
We aim to keep the network available at all times and operate redundant upstream links for that purpose. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where possible and scheduled for low-traffic hours. We are not liable for interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including fibre cuts by third parties, power failure at your premises, natural disaster, or regulatory shutdown of internet services.
8. Suspension, cancellation and termination
You may cancel your subscription in line with our Return & Refund Policy, which sets out the notice period and the refund timeline. We may suspend or terminate the service if fees remain unpaid, if these terms are breached, or if required to do so by a competent authority. Outstanding dues remain payable after termination.
9. Refunds
Refund eligibility, the claim procedure and the standard 7 to 10 working day refund completion timeline are set out in full in our Return & Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
10. Privacy
Personal information you provide is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or rent subscriber information to third parties.
11. Limitation of liability
The service is provided for general internet access. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the subscription fees paid by you for the affected billing period. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of business, revenue or data.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in our service, our tariff, or applicable regulation. The revised version is published on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the service after publication constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. We encourage you to raise any dispute with our customer service team first, so it can be resolved directly. Unresolved disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Sherpur, Bangladesh, and to the regulatory framework administered by the BTRC.
